We run four rounds before a client meets anyone.

The CV screen catches almost nothing. It's a filter for effort and literacy, not ability. 1,236 people don't get past it, mostly for never listing a single tool.

The recorded video is where the reading-off-a-screen people surface. You can't fake a live answer about why you'd pull a keyword that's currently converting.

The technical round is DSP, AMC, bid strategy, the margin conversation.

Then the fourth one, which is the one that actually matters.

It's a conversation with someone who has managed Amazon ads every day for ten years.

He's made every mistake the candidate is describing. So he can hear whether they've genuinely made them too, or just read about them.

Only after that does a client see anybody.

Four rounds sounds like a lot for one hire.

5,000+ applicants and fewer than 1 in 100 reaching a shortlist suggests otherwise.
