Your next customer could choose AND BUY your product without ever visiting your website.
On October 15, Google launched Universal Cart in the U.S. across Search and Gemini.
Here’s what this means for brands and what our proprietary Gemini data is already showing.
My take: brands need to treat AI visibility as a commercial priority.
When more of the buying journey happens inside an assistant, your product information must answer the questions that determine the purchase. Before shoppers reach your website.
Yep, before.
- Who is this for?
- Does it meet my needs?
- Why choose it over the alternatives?
- What supports the claims?
This is why I'm building Agentic Commerce Engineering™ system:
1) measure where brands get recommended,
2) identify the gaps,
3) implement changes and test again.
In our latest Gemini tracking, one supplement client holds 18.6% of sampled recommendations, now ranking FIRST among 11 tracked brands. Waiting for their AI sales data now...
That is measured recommendation visibility within our tracked sample.
For brands, the priorities are clear:
→ Know which buying questions you must appear in and who appears instead
→ Fix incomplete product attributes and unanswered questions
→ Strengthen credible evidence and keep purchasing information current
→ Measure recommendations, traffic and attributable sales
Google and Amazon operate differently. Brands need a disciplined approach to each.
Your next competitive audit should ask:
→ When a shopper describes the need your product solves, does AI recommend you and why?
At ARTAN AI, that’s where we start.
