I almost didn’t launch Feisty

I was setting myself up for failure: zero food & beverage experience. Zero business experience. Barely any social media presence.

I’m still learning while flying the plane, but one thing I’ve learnt: when you have no marketing budget, you are the marketing budget.

I hated being on camera, but started sharing the journey anyway, even with 20 followers.

That led to Selfridges finding us. Then retailers, VCs, Nike, Gymshark, an invite to pitch at Target HQ and somehow hanging out with James Corden.

2025 was wild.

I put Feisty UK on ice to go all-in on the US and burnt out pretty badly doing it as a solo founder. 😬

My hot take: build brand equity early. Stand for something. Don’t be for everyone.

If your only differentiator is 50g protein and no added sugar, you’re an ingredients list with a nice logo.

Post at 20 followers. Share mistakes. Apparently it all fuels the algorithm anyway.
