Amazon has already chosen an AI bot as its partner.
I still find it incredible the amount of shock and horror that most have when it comes to Amazon blocking AI bots.
Even though its not fully open to you yet...
This is the real reason....
👉 12 months ago Amazon invested $38bn in OpenAI, yep...ChatGPT.
Its also invested an undisclosed amount into Anthropic to operate its new seller assistant AI.
Amazon has ALREADY made its choice when it comes to its ecommerce integration for the future.
Amazon links are already showing up heavily in ChatGPT shopping carousels, despite as of today, no other signal information seems to be public.
This is also deliberate, as ChatGPT cant state why its selected Amazon as its key link choice in the majority of shopping searches.
The gamble Amazon are making is.....
👉 Will ChatGPT be the owner and operator of AI Ecommerce.
Because, if it is, Amazon doesnt have to leverage its customer experience centric model, YET.
If this gamble doesnt pay off - Amazon WILL have to open the gates to the AI robots.
