LOréal is in the beauty business, but their mobile readability results are not pretty.

8 out of 9 text elements FAIL on this secondary PDP carousel image live on Amazon, with RHINO testing.

Here is the irony. Their core product claim on the pack is VISIBLY PLUMP, GLOWING AND SMOOTH SKIN. Yet on a mobile screen, VISIBLY PLUMP is completely invisible to shoppers.

Other critical elements like GLASS SKIN, HYDROGEL MASK, and GLOWING AND SMOOTH failed contrast or visual clarity.

If you design PDP carousel listing images, they have to work on phones, because that is where the shopping action happens now.

Nobody on this Brand team seemed to have "Walked the Store Online" on an actual phone before publishing this asset. It was approved on a huge monitor guaranteed.

Teams still approve creative on desktop monitors instead of experiencing what mobile shoppers see.

3 out of the 4 shelves are now digital-first and mobile-first.

1. The eRetailer's Digital Shelf aka THUMBNAIL shelf

2. The Agentic LLM Shelf (Again more Thumbnail images)

3. The Social Shelf (TikTok Video needs glance-readable text)

When shoppers cannot read your product claims in a fast scroll, unreadable means unbuyable.

Catching these issues upstream before visual content sign-off is easy.

Unreadable on a phone = Unbuyable on a phone.

Look what your holding in your hands or what's in your pocket.

Use RHINO to help you design for where shoppers actually are. (not in a boardroom)
