Prime Day revenue is a vanity mirror

It shows you exactly what you want to see

We pulled Prime Big Deal Days results

Across a batch of Amazon accounts we manage

Biggest brand did not post the biggest jump

Smallest one did

Neither number tells you much on its own

Read your Prime Day sales report

Like an auditor not a fan

Start with the right baseline

Compare event sales

to your normal daily run rate

not just last year's event

That shows what the deal actually added

Then follow the money

Pull TACoS and contribution margin for the event window

If heavy ad spend and deep discounts bought the lift

You rented those sales

You did not earn them

Check the hangover

Look at organic rank

Sessions and conversion rate

in the week after

Good event leaves you ranking higher

Bad one leaves you with a lighter wallet

and the same keyword positions

Find the leak

High traffic with weak conversion points to the listing

Main image

Price

Reviews

A+ Content

Strong conversion with weak traffic points

to Amazon PPC and keyword coverage

That diagnosis is your Black Friday Cyber Monday game plan

Clock is already running

Spend it fixing the leak

Not buying more traffic

to pour through it

Revenue is the headline

Margin and momentum are the story
