Over the past year and a half, a big focus of my work within our LinkedIn Workplace Design + Build team has been bringing greater cost intelligence and predictability into how we plan and deliver projects.
I'm excited to share a quick demo of where some of that work has led: NOVA (New Office Valuation Analyst), an internal tool I’ve built to bring together market benchmarks, nearly a decade of LinkedIn's project cost data, and planning assumptions so our team can more easily test scenarios, make early funding decisions, and right-size project budgets.
Building NOVA has reinforced something I strongly believe: the value of data comes from how you use it. AI coding tools have opened up new ways to take years of cost data, lessons learned, and established methodology and turn them into something practical that our team can actually use.
What excites me most is where we evolve from here. As technology continues to lower the barriers between the data we have and the decisions we need to make, there is a ton of opportunity to rethink how we approach planning, estimating, and project delivery.
