Preparing one executive interview is easy.

Preparing nine in four days? That’s a different challenge.

This week, I’m at IFS Unleashed in Orlando, interviewing the leaders shaping Industrial AI.

Normally, preparation means late nights in a hotel room, dozens of browser tabs, and last minute research.

This time, I delegated the preparation to Viktor, an AI employee in Slack.

Three weeks ago, I asked him to organize every guest, interview slot, and three questions that actually matter to industrial leaders.

Here’s what happened:

→ 9 interviews scheduled across 4 days

→ Each guest’s 3 latest public statements researched

→ 2 scheduling conflicts identified

→ Interview questions tailored to each guest

But the most valuable part wasn’t something I asked for.

He noticed my flight would land at 4:10 PM on Monday, just 50 minutes before an interview across town.

He proposed moving the interview to Tuesday at 9:00 AM and drafted the rescheduling message.

Nothing was sent without my approval.

Two days later, he analyzed comments on my LinkedIn post asking what questions people wanted me to raise on camera.

→ 53 genuine questions identified

→ 21 matched to my interview guests

→ Relevant questions integrated into my preparation

All without another prompt.

That’s the difference between an AI chatbot and an AI employee.

One answers questions. The other anticipates what needs to happen next.

AI prepares. I make the final decisions.

And when interviewing the people building Industrial AI, that distinction matters.

What would you ask the leaders shaping the future of Industrial AI?
