Keywords aren't just for SEO. Its not just to help Alexa know what your product is. Last week i noticed how in the coffin shelf niche some products had this "delivers by Halloween" badge, but not the ones in one of my accounts.
When I analyzed the front and back end of that competitor listing, I saw that they had the word Halloween like 7+ times in there including title and highlights. . My listings that didnt have the halloween badge only had them a couple times and not in title.
When I ran the listings through Cerebro to check the Amazon Relevancy score, the "halloween" badged listing had tons of keywords on it. Mine had just one.
So as a test, to one listing we added Halloween as a keyword a few more times strategically in the listing. 24 hours laster, the listing we did it to had the Halloween badge, the other did not. Now all of a sudden amazon relevancy showed it relevant for a number more halloween keywords.
Is this going to double sales? Of course not. But just a fun test to show how keywords still matter not just for SEO or AI, but even reasons we might not have realized. :)
