Grok Imagine now writes your soundtrack.
No stock music library needed.
Creators started posting screen recordings this week of a music feature inside Grok Imagine. Elon reposted one of the how-to threads.
The old way to finish an ad or UGC clip: make the video in one tool, dig through a stock library for a track, check the license, then stitch it together in an editor.
The new flow lives in the same window as the video:
1. Generate your video, then click the music icon.
2. Hit "+ Add music" and describe the mood, tempo, instruments, and whether you want vocals.
3. Click Generate, preview it, pick the section you want, and Apply.
Every track saves to a library, so you can reuse a sound across a whole campaign. Creators are also demoing it with their own custom lyrics.
For brand owners and Amazon sellers, this means one product clip can get three different tracks for testing: upbeat, calm, premium. Same video, different feel, all made in one place.
Under xAI's consumer terms, you own your outputs, including for commercial use, and xAI asks you to credit Grok. There are no music-specific terms yet, so check how each ad platform treats the audio before you put spend behind it.
It's a phased rollout on web and mobile, so you may not see it yet. Look for the music icon next time you open Imagine.
