Most autonomous agents stall out not from bad reasoning, but from context starvation.
An agent can draft code or answer queries quickly, but it breaks down the moment it touches fragmented enterprise systems. Without direct visibility across internal software tools, automation remains superficial.
Uvi just secured $7.5 million in seed funding to tackle this exact layer. The round was led by CT Innovations and Cardumen, with participation from Mana VC, 91 Ventures, and Gaingles VC. The capital is aimed at building out US operations and pushing product development forward.
Read it this way: the real bottleneck in enterprise AI isn't model intelligence anymore. It's the plumbing that aggregates internal data sources so an agent actually understands organizational workflow.
Skeptics will argue that foundational model providers will inevitably build their own universal integrations and render standalone middleware redundant. That's a reasonable pushback. But unifying siloed enterprise environments is notoriously messy, custom, and operational—rarely the kind of heavy lifting platform giants prioritize.
For founders building operational AI, the takeaway is straightforward. Raw model capability won't differentiate an enterprise product. Reliable access to fragmented internal context will.
