I didn’t start my Amazon SaaS business from zero.

I started with lessons I’d already learned running my Amazon creative agency.

These three helped me move much faster:

1. Retention deserves as much attention as sales, probably more.

I already knew how hard it is to grow when customers keep leaving. Getting new users matters. Giving them a reason to stay matters even more.

2. Hire A-players early.

People who take ownership save you months of explaining, following up, and fixing. I knew I needed them from the beginning.

3. Don’t let competitors change your priorities.

There’s always someone launching something new. I’d already learned how distracting that can be. Customer feedback and our vision had to guide what we built next.

Running an agency didn’t teach me how to build software. It helped me avoid repeating mistakes while building it.
