This isn't a post I ever imagined writing, and it's not something I do lightly.
For 30 years I've been lucky enough to build a career in an industry I genuinely love. From running IT across hundreds of Superdrug stores, to working with some of the biggest names in retail technology, to writing for Forbes & Fortune, keynote speaking around the world, publishing a best-selling book, and, more recently, hosting conversations with some brilliant retail leaders.
Retail has given me more than I could ever have hoped for.
But every now and then life puts a bump in the road you simply don't see coming. This is one of those moments.
So I've added the 'open to work' banner to my profile. Because, from time to time, we all need a little help from our friends, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't need a little help from mine right now.
Retail is my passion. It always has been. I'm not ready to step away from it, and I don't intend to. I'd love to continue the journey, ideally in a business development or commercial leadership role with a retail technology business where relationships, credibility and a genuine love of the industry count for something. Over the years, I've built a retail network I'm incredibly proud of.
