Last month, I was in a room I never thought I’d be in, listening to the founder of DreamWorks and now managing partner at WndrCo.
Jeff said one line that I haven’t been able to shake.
“Don’t let your memories be better than your dreams.”
This weekend, I took my girls to our happy place at Sunday River. Fall in Maine. My girls on one side, a very happy bulldog sprawled across my lap, the mountain going gold behind us.
And sitting there, that line came back to me. For a long stretch of my career, my best stories lived in the past tense. The wins. The rooms. The travel. The things I’d retell. I was proud of them. But they were memories.
Working with our small but mighty enterprise-grade team changed that. For the first time in years, the thing I’m most excited about isn’t something I did. It’s something I’m doing. The swing I finally took was building a great company from the beginning.
Clario is the legacy I am grateful to help build. Family is the legacy that matters.
Dreams are goals with deadlines, and that creates amazing memories.
