Grok, Cursor and X Premium merged.
One bill, one usage pool.
Tonight Grok, Cursor and X Premium became one plan, called The X Subscription. It starts at $8 a month, with five tiers to choose from.
Paid plans share one usage pool across Cursor, Grok Build and other Grok products. Cursor says you get twice the coding usage on Grok models compared to the equivalent Cursor plan.
There's a catch worth reading twice. Cursor says third-party models in Cursor move to API pricing on the new plans.
Plenty of operators pay for a chat tool, a coding tool and a social subscription separately, and nobody checks how much of each actually gets used.
A shared pool changes that math. One plan, one place to watch usage.
Before you switch, open your Cursor usage and look at which models you actually run. If most of your work goes through Claude or GPT inside Cursor, those calls get billed at API rates on the new plans.
If you mostly run Grok models, the switch probably saves you money. If you don't, keeping your current plan is allowed, and it might be the cheaper move.
Check your usage first. Then decide.
