Meta's new shopping agent, Muse, shows why structured product data matters for AI shopping.

In early tests by Profound (reported by State of Brand), 95% of the products Muse considered came from Meta’s own structured product catalog.

Muse still browses the web, but its reported instructions require:

→ A real product page

→ A verified product image

→ Visible stock status and the ability to add to cart

→ A price within the normal range for the category

Anything that fails is dropped before the shopper sees it.

The lesson is simple: agents can’t browse their way to good recommendations. Browsing is slow, expensive, and fragile. Agents need clean, structured product data.

Meta can build its own catalog and product search. Most agent builders can’t.

That's why we're building Channel3 -- the product catalog and search infrastructure that lets every agent shop.
