Here’s my recipe for not burning out in sales 🪄
… it’s just setting boundaries & actually sticking to them!
Saturdays & Sundays are laptop and work free. No random email or Slack check for an unnecessary anxiety spike!
1 hour of exercise a day, phone nowhere near me. A class, a run, anything where no one can ask me about contact data or a clause on an Order Form.
No phone before bed. I got back into reading this year and skipping that 10pm Slack scroll has done more for my sleep and anxiety than I expected!! Especially working for a US company.
9-5 Monday to Friday is planned and focused, and I am pretty savage with my time. I only take calls that have been qualified. Admin blocks, prospecting blocks, a proper hour for lunch, 30 mins outside walking. I make sure I stick to them.
And a super important one… a few fun things in the diary every week that remind me what the point of all this is! Friends, date night, good food & espresso martinis (as pictured 🍸).
Sales really is a rollercoaster. Get off the ride sometimes, you’ll want to get back on faster!
