Some reflection over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend:
A little over a year ago, I made the decision to leave Superior Plus, an organization I had spent 14 years with and put my heart & soul into leading. But the time had come for a change.
It wasn’t easy. I was walking away from a great team, one that drove real change because we saw what needed doing, not because a consultant told us to.
Looking back, it was the best professional decision I’ve made. There was uncertainty and some second-guessing, and I spent a lot of time reflecting on what I’d do differently and on the kind of people and organizations I want to work with.
Today I’m re-energized. Carron Advisory Group is thriving. I’m helping organizations sharpen their commercial and operational strategies, accelerating growth, and building cultures where teamwork and customer focus go hand in hand. At the same time, I’ve found a level of calmness that had eluded me for years.
If you’re considering a change or have just been through one, keep your chin up. You’ll find your way, and when you look back, I suspect you’ll agree... it was time. Be thankful for change- you'll come out of it with serious perspective.
