Claude now works inside your files. And it shows its work. Claude sits in a side

Claude now works inside your files.
And it shows its work.
Claude sits in a sidebar inside Google Docs, Sheets and Slides now. It reads the file you have open, edits it in place, and you approve each edit before it lands.
Access follows your Google sharing permissions.
In beta on all paid plans.
Two days later?
Anthropic put Claude Dashboards in beta.
Connect a data platform or CRM, ask a question in plain language, and Claude writes the query and builds a dashboard that updates as the data changes.
Every chart shows the query behind it.
Edit approval & visible queries are what make this usable in a real business.
When a number looks off, you can see how Claude got it before it lands in front of a client or your team.
Rebuilding the weekly sales report by hand in Sheets?
⤷ Let Claude update it in place and approve each change.
Getting asked a question nobody has a dashboard for?
⤷ Ask Claude Dashboards, then read the query before you share the chart.
I keep my own business context in a markdown vault that several agents read, because I'm a huge fan of owning versus renting.
This update works the same way.
Your files stay in your Drive under your permissions, and the AI comes to them.
Do this:
Open the spreadsheet your team updates every week, ask Claude in the sidebar to do this week's update, and approve the edits one at a time so you see exactly what it changed.
