One negative Amazon review can cost you a lot more than you think.

Reviews have always been one of the biggest challenges for Amazon sellers.

Customers who have a bad experience are often more motivated to leave feedback than customers who had a perfectly good experience.

And when your product has a limited number of reviews, a few negative experiences can significantly impact your rating and conversion rates.

That is why one of the advertising opportunities discussed at Amazon Accelerate 2026 caught my attention.

The ability to target recent purchasers with review requests.

These are customers who have already made a genuine purchase and can share their actual experience with the product.

For sellers, that creates an interesting opportunity.

Instead of simply hoping satisfied customers leave feedback, we may have another way to encourage more verified reviews.

The potential benefits are significant.

More authentic customer feedback.

A larger review base.

More information for future customers making purchasing decisions.

And potentially a stronger overall rating when positive experiences are better represented.

But like any advertising strategy, the economics matter.

I want to understand how much it costs to generate additional reviews and whether that investment translates into stronger conversion performance over time.

If the cost makes sense, this is something I absolutely plan to test.

The goal is not to buy positive reviews. It is to make it easier for real customers to share honest experiences.

For sellers looking to improve their overall Amazon performance, understanding how customer feedback impacts conversion is just as important as understanding traffic.
