someone asked me recently why my LinkedIn content has become a little more "unhinged"

and whilst I wouldn't say I've hit crazy level (just yet), I have definitely switched things up.

after 5 years of building Pretty Little Marketer and trying so hard to build a "personal brand", I've realised something very freeing: I do not want to be a thought leader (call the news, it's groundbreaking)

now I've spent five years proving my value and putting the work in and I am v lucky that because of that groundwork, I *can* put that heavy hat down and stop trying to sound like an expert.

so the content is more casual now, messier, silly, and me (I mean it always has been me but I guess just... more me)

there are a quarter of a million of you here (not that LinkedIn will show it to more than 10% of you on any given day despite how I try) and I really take that *internet responsibility* seriously.

I don't want to be another person in your feed forcing you to use an AI tool to write 100 posts a day, or restrategise to find your positioning so your inbound leads are full of ICPs (did I say that right???), or pressuring you to be perfect.

what I do want is to be proof that you can show up as yourself, get it wrong sometimes, have a laugh about it, and still build something you’re really proud of !!!
