No Boring Brands turned 3 years old on Tuesday.
The first year I treated NBB as a side hustle. Didn't pour too much into the business, but for some reason it continued to grow.
I worked full time and on the weekends grinded client work for NBB.
It was just me, no contractors, and 3 clients. We scaled to 6-figures in revenue with no website or logo.
Every day I contemplated diving full time into the business. Joshua Smith and AJ Eckstein 🧩 (HIRING) were telling me daily I was being soft for not becoming a full time entrepreneur.
So in October 2024, I left my full time job and became a full time entrepreneur.
I hired my first 2 contractors.
Irupe Correa was one of them (she's still here, leading the Ops of the business, helping us fulfill 15+ clients each month).
2025 was a proof of concept year.
How many brands can we convince to hire us to make content for them?
We scaled up to as many as 11 contractors working across 10 brands. We got some wins. But our service was a B+. Clients kept churning.
What we built was solid, but nothing more.
So in 2026, I decided to grow a pair.
I invested $100k of personal assets into the business.
I acquired two corporate humor Instagram accounts for 5-figures.
I ended our agreements with all part time contractors.
We were going to scale headcount. Get a team of full time staff working to build the vision of No Boring Brands with me.
So we hired Charles H..
And then Sydney Dippold.
And then James Sweeney.
And then we added new services.
We rebranded.
We built deeper relationships with clients. Began pitching larger scopes of work, haven't had a client churn in the last 3 months, and will do 20% more in revenue in October than we did in the whole calendar year of 2024.
But what takes the cake, is this picture. My girlfriend surprised me with a gluten-free cake to celebrate the 3 years. Badass. Jordan Bramble.
Gradually, then suddenly.
