Trick or treat? It is mostly "trick" when your pack count vanishes in the dark.

That is the verdict from RHINO after auditing M&S St Michael Mini Bars Treat Selection:

1. 14 (Pack count): FAIL

2. BARS (Format): FAIL

3. StMichael (Brand): FAIL

4. MINI BARS: PASS

5. TREAT SELECTION: FAIL

----------------------------------------------------

The biggest horror show here is the pack count.

For Halloween, pack count is EVERYTHING!!! 🎃

---------------------------------------------------

A parent shopping on a 6-inch mobile screen needs to know in 300 milliseconds if there are enough treats for the front door.

Instead, "14 BARS" completely disappears due to poor contrast and visual friction.

Even the St Michael brand mark fails to register.

Ocado has no physical shelves. Perhaps they need to remind M&S.

If you want spook-tacular glance readability, test with RHINO rather than guess in the dark.

When your hero image lacks clarity, shoppers do not convert.

They ghost you at checkout time.

This Shocktober, our Halloween Countdown is exposing the best and worst hero images across the digital shelf and agentic search.

Unreadable is Unsellable.

Readability Drives Revenue.
