If I asked your Amazon team who owned VCR, would I get one name or five?
At most vendors it's everyone's job a little bit, which means it's nobody's job when it actually underperforms.
Supply chain says it's a forecasting problem.
The sales team says it's a supply chain problem.
Nobody's checking it weekly, because nobody wants to own it.
VCR isn't complicated to own. It's just rarely given to one person to focus on.
