Ecom brands, this ones seriously worth a quick try..
Open your collection page. You probably have two grey buttons that say Sort and Filter.
Both of them open a drawer. Neither tells the customer anything before they tap.
Replace them with visible chips named after what people actually want.
Best sellers. New in. Beginner friendly. Chunky. Pure merino. Under ten pounds.
Three things change.
The filters become visible rather than hidden behind a tap, so people use them. Most customers never open a filter drawer at all.
They stop being attribute names and start being intentions. Nobody thinks "I want to filter by weight category". They think "I want something chunky I can finish this weekend".
And beginner friendly isn't a database field at all. It's a merchandising decision you make once, and on a craft site it's the most useful filter you have, because the thing stopping a beginner buying isn't choice. It's fear of buying the wrong thing.
The rule for picking them: read your site search queries and your customer service emails. The words people type are the filters you should have. If the top search is "chunky", that's a chip.
