Reflecting on Groceryshop and RetailClub

Now that we've had a moment to sit with everything, a few thoughts on what stood out.

David Feinleib and Dan St.Pierre had an incredible run of conversations across both events with Garrett King from Mars Petcare, Andrew Pearson from Diageo, Prabu Chandrasekaran, Lauren Livak Gilbert from Salsify (a great It'sRapid partner), Lynette Green from Brown-Forman, Juliana Nodwell from Kraft Heinz and Quincy Long from General Mills.

The conversations were incredibly rich, and one theme came up in almost every one: AI. What's actually working, what teams are learning as they roll it out, where it's driving real value in content and commerce, and where the hype still outpaces the reality.

A few takeaways that have stuck with us in the days since:

1. The brands making the most progress are the ones treating AI as an operational shift, not a one-off tool.

2. Content and media teams are starting to talk to each other in a way they weren't 12 months ago.

3. The winners will be the ones who close the loop between what gets created and what actually performs.

Grateful for every one of these conversations. If we didn't get a chance to connect at the show and any of this resonates with what you're working on, send us a message — always up for continuing the conversation.
