AI is a gift to people who already do the work. It is cancer for everyone else (the lazy ones).

I have started telling the two groups apart by how they use it.

The curious ones got dangerous, in a good way.

They were checking the work before and now they check it faster, build the tool they used to rent, and still own the answer when it breaks.

AI did not make them sharp but took the slow part off someone who was already moving and, in my opinion, those are the people who should be building their own tools.

The other group is the one that worries me.

They always had someone else do the thinking.

A bodyguard for the hard part and AI just became a better bodyguard.

The doc goes out, the reply goes out, and if it is wrong, it was the "AI"'s fault.

So we are looking at the same tools.

One user got an edge. The other found the perfect companion to their laziness.

So while everyone keeps referring to AI as the equalizer, for me it's a multiplier.

If you were already doing the work, the whole operation gets smarter. And if you were walking around with bodyguards, you just got a super weapon and no reason to look.
