❌ Brand managers selling at a premium on Amazon: before you drop your price, read this.

Every month, I get asked: Why won't shoppers pay more than the cheaper copycat?

The instinct is to lower the price. It almost never fixes it.

Here's what I think is actually happening. A shopper opens your listing already holding the price in their head.

Everything after that is them looking for a reason the price is fair.

Your product stack and A+ content are the only things in the room that can give them one.

As brands turn to AI to solve everything in one click, the creative bar has been set higher to truly stand out in your category.

Unrestrained AI is the new floor. High end design with smart AI use can be your differentiator like we did here with our client @nimble.

AI aside, brands are still making the basic mistakes that can tank your performance so I'll leave you with this gem.

🚩One example: We ran 13 tests where a stack with copy on every single image went up against a stack with one silent image in it.

🚩 The fully-written stack won 10 of the 13. Across 11 different brands, no category in common. One silent image is the only main difference.

The takeaway: A silent image is a slot that is lost selling opportunity.

PS - This is one of many data-driven insights that I've been sharing over on my substack.

Protip: pull up your stack and your A+ next to the cheaper competitor's.

📍Count how many of your images tell a shopper something.

📍Ask yourself if yours FEELS different from the pack.

📍What's in your stack that isn't earning its slot?
