Backing a pre-seed team requires founder problem fit determination, a creative slanted view of where adjacent opportunities converge into a bigger market, and the guts to wire when the math isn’t totally there.
I know this data is about big funds. But the insight still holds for the rest of venture. Get in early, get known for being early. Then if you get a unicorn, you return your fund. If you get a hyperscaler, you return your next three.
