Beautiful, boring basics build bottom lines.
Nobody told your content agency.
They sent over secondary PDP carousel images and assured you they were readable on mobile. But they did not actually test them.
In our latest RHINO audit of a cleaning sponge PDP carousel, the headline read "SO LONG SOAP SCUM". On desktop, it looked crisp. But when tested for contrast, only "SO LONG" passed. "SOAP" and "SCUM" failed completely. If shoppers cannot read the benefit in a fast scroll, the benefit does not exist. Secondary PDP carousel images carry your critical claims, features, and reasons to buy. Yet the vast majority of agencies never run an algorithmic contrast test before delivery. They don't even bother to use a manual contrast checker. And most brand teams leave visual testing to someone else, assuming it was handled upstream.
It was not "handled". NOT tested.
The consequences show up straight in your conversion rate and your P&L, because the basic execution was neglected. Your secondary PDP images deserve better than guesswork. Test for contrast before you push live to the digital shelf.
Readability Drives Revenue.
