This made me laugh. 😂
After more than 20 years in Israel, I can confirm: Israelis will stand up before the plane stops moving, argue with you about absolutely anything (or nothing), and tell you exactly what you're doing wrong (ALL THE TIME!).
They'll also stand up FOR you without hesitation, invite you to Shabbat dinner after having just met you, fix you up with their grandson, and call their cousin's neighbor's brother who can solve whatever problem you're having. 😂
And when things really go sideways?
There is no group of people I'd rather have around me.
Someone's a doctor. Someone was in an elite army unit. Someone knows exactly who to call.
And someone is calmly saying, Kol beseder (It's all ok!). We've handled worse.
After today's incredible events, this feels especially true.
Tonight I'm feeling incredibly grateful for the extraordinary people who protect this tiny country.
And grateful for the nearly 180 people who came home safely today, whose lives are a living testament to G-d's greatness, human courage, and miracles.
Miracles happen all the time, but only sometimes are we allowed to see them so clearly.
