Getting away from the desk for a week has me feeling refreshed, and replenished 😉.
For all of the talk about automation, algorithms and AI, this year’s Amazon Accelerate was a reminder about the importance of people. Our businesses are driven by people in service of people.
Consumers – Amazon is famously committed to delivering the best shopping experience to you and me. Alexa for Shopping has rocketed in popularity delivering faster and more accurate product suggestions.
Sellers – From Mom & Pop startups to household names, 3P businesses on Seller Central now account for 60% of platform sales, up from 55% a year ago. Accelerate is all about the Seller experience; helping businesses operate efficiently on the platform and deliver for consumers.
Leaders – As massive as the Amazon machine is, we can't overlook the more than 1.5 million humans making it work. Face time with senior decision-makers, support staff and technical leads is invaluable to solving problems and forging genuine relationships.
Partners – Remote work enables us to collaborate with incredible people anywhere in the country and the world. What a treat to share a handshake or a hug and toast to everything we’ve accomplished together.
