Every Amazon ads manager I meet has the same five month story.
You join. You are good at it. They notice.
So they hand you another account. Then another. Same pay.
By month five you are carrying half again as much as you can actually do well, results start to slip, and somehow that is your fault.
One of the people we placed put it better than I can:
"I've always ended up with a huge burnout in my previous companies in five, six months. They see you're good, they give you more work for the same, until you reach a point in which you cannot handle it. And then they blame you for it."
He is ten months into his placement now. One account. Still there. Still happy.
That is not luck. It is what happens when the scope is honest before anyone signs anything, and when someone checks in every quarter to make sure it stayed honest.
