Here's the real test of a well run Amazon account..
Could someone else pick it up next quarter and understand it in a day?
Category leadership dosen't comes from one clever ad campaign or one AVN won.
It comes from a business that's built its Amazon operation to be understood..
Clear ownership.
Clear margin logic.
Clear pricing and promo decisions.
All of it documented well enough that it doesn't fall apart with team or agency changes.
When I run my performance and capability audits I'm not answering did this account grow..i'm trying to answer: do we understand why and could we keep doing it without the one person who currently holds it all in their head.
Build the account like someone else will eventually need to run it.
Most of the value is hiding in the undiscussed parts of the account.
