On September 26, the Ukrainian women’s tennis team reached the Billie Jean King Cup final for the first time in history.
UNITED24 ambassador Elina Svitolina secured the decisive point in the semifinal against Italy, defeating Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, 6–2, 6–2. Ukraine won the tie 2–0.
In the final, Ukraine will face 11-time champions Czechia on September 27.
