AI is twice as bad as its biggest fans think. And half as bad as its harshest critics think.
I honestly got tired of the AI headlines a long time ago, so here's a simple statement for people who feel overwhelmed and want a hopeful, practical way to think about it.
It comes down to four simple declarations.
The first: people are made in the image and likeness of God. AI is not.
Second, AI is only good to the extent it adds to the fullness of human life.
Third, work is about more than a paycheck. It gives people purpose and dignity, and anything that destroys that for the sake of excess can't be called good.
Fourth, AI should never do what people can do just as well or better.
