If your LinkedIn profile says that you are the "CEO of LinkedIn" (and you're not actually the CEO of LinkedIn) then it may be time to update your profile...
LinkedIn are releasing a new feature to help companies manage associated employees.
Companies often have employees "associated" with their company even though they don't work there.
This was a common challenge I saw when I was at LinkedIn.
Any person could list a company that they didn't work for on their LinkedIn profile and companies would be powerless to remove these people.
That is now set to change.
LinkedIn CPO Hari Srinivasan posted yesterday that company admins will now be able to remove accounts that falsely claim employment from their page.
This is part of a broader move as LinkedIn looks to make profile verification easier and encourage more people to go through the process.
So, if someone is claiming to work for your company (and they have never worked there) you will soon be able to take action.
