🚨 BREAKING: LinkedIn finally lets companies remove fake employees from their pages! 😍
Earlier today, Hari Srinivasan the Chief Product Officer of LinkedIn Ecosystem announced the feature many of us have been waiting for years. Without any fanfare, as item #2 in a regular post about verification.
Until now, anyone could list themselves as Deputy CEO at your company, and you couldn't do a thing about it.
Some typical cases:
→ "Recruiters" from your company collecting candidates' passport scans.
→ "Head of Partnerships" you never hired offering your prospects exclusive discounts.
→ A former contractor who kept your logo for three years because it looks great next to their name.
It got so bad it became a platform meme.
Just look at the screenshot below. Also, there's a creator whose profile says he's CEO of SpaceX and OpenAI at the same time. It's been up for six months, and the profile is alive and well.
This changes now.
So, you can place your bets on when we'll see the first real changes. But I'm determined to start celebrating already.
