this Tuesday I walked (straight past) the red carpet (beelining to comfort zone safety) at YouTube Festival, their yearly celebration of UK creators at the London Palladium, and here's what you need to know:
→ the most successful creators run like businesses, with teams, strategy and long term plans (and it was the exact same thing I saw at LTK Con)
→ even Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham have launched YouTube channels, because owning a direct relationship with your audience is worth more than any platform or club can give you
→ creators now have their own seat at the table, with Creator Voices launching to push for creators to be recognised alongside the rest of the UK's creative industries, backed by YouTube and featuring my wonderfully cool friends Jade Beason and Grace Andrews
→ over half of UK YouTube watch time now happens on a TV screen, so brands: it’s time to plan for the telly
