3 announcements out of day one at Amazon Accelerate that sellers should give a sh*t about:
1. PRIME AIR: 30-minute drone delivery
Amazon is launching drones so Prime Air can deliver in as fast as 30 minutes.
Delivery speed is already one of Amazon's biggest advantages. If Amazon can turn 30-minute delivery into something available across more products and markets, the convenience gap between Amazon and basically every other ecommerce channel gets even wider.
2. AMAZON QUICK
Amazon Quick is an AI assistant that is launching with a direct connection into Seller Central. It can work with your business data from multiple datasets, then build custom apps, actions and dashboards inside your own "spaces."
You can create multiple spaces depending on how you want to organize the data. For an agency, that could mean one space per brand. Or you could build spaces around specific topics or workflows.
Quick can also conduct research, build presentations and dashboards, schedule meetings and automate repetitive tasks.
I've been manually pulling Amazon first-party data into AI for years to get analyses Seller Central doesn't make easy. If Quick can do that directly with Seller Central data, that could eliminate a TON of manual work.
3. SELLER FLEX
Seller Flex lets brands keep heavy and bulky inventory in their own warehouse while Amazon handles the carrier assignment, pickup, delivery, returns and customer service once an order comes in.
Amazon says sellers using Seller Flex have seen a 17% increase in conversion.
I’ll keep sharing the announcements sellers need to know as Amazon rolls them out.
