My hand was just not as fast as I wanted it to be because I was taking SO many notes at Scroll Forward and I couldn’t keep up 😅
As a podcast person, I came into Scroll Forward looking at how people are using socials to boost their podcast, or make social media part of the podcast's ecosystem, especially in B2B. Sooooooo here are some notes I tried to burn into my brain and genuinely found useful:
1. If it doesn't work the first time on socials, that doesn't mean you have to do a 360 on your ideas. I truly truly believe this in my core of cores, because we need more info before we can even say if something is a flop or a win
2. This isn't a lesson I learned but something I really wanna try and it’s creating a series for social but still keeping the podcast as the brand in front of it. Exciting stuff!
3. Shout out to Ray Saddiq who literally went on my phone and showed me how to use creator search insights on TikTok. GAME CHANGER! DND I’m in a rabbit hole
4. And theeeen came across an interesting angle I don't usually think about day to day, Eleshea Williams talked about how non-profits approach marketing, and it's something I truly want to know more about.
5. And lastly, this got me to download Screen Zen again because Chloe Perkins 💘 talk on surviving the scroll, taking care of your mental health, kind of reminded me that we're online all the time because it's literally our job, but we need dedicated breaks from our phones, from the internet, and go touch grass. I have no idea why I uninstalled Screen Zen at some point but it's back on my phone now and I feel safe lol.
I'm the type of person that likes to try new things, experiment and I love getting ideas from people who are winning at this. And even though I call myself an honorary introvert, I still love meeting new people and chatting!
