Last week we went along to Scroll Forward , the first conference from Sophie Miller and the Pretty Little Marketer team and it's easily become our favourite event of the year.

There was a huge line-up of speakers on the day: George Sullivan , Ray Saddiq , Mercy Fulani , Simoné Partner , Sophie Milham , Tyarna Agyekum , Verity Hurd , Lucy Murray, Eleshea Williams , Grace Andrews , Olivia Bishop , Charlotte Li , Faye Martin , Chloe Perkins 💘 and many more… 👀

A few of the takeaways that stuck with us:

✨Search is now the starting point, not an afterthought. People check an average of 3.6 platforms and rack up 97 interactions before they buy, so content needs to be built around what people are actually searching for, not what's trending that week.

✨ "Authentic" is tired. Consistent isn't. People don't want another brand telling them it's authentic, they want the same feeling across every touchpoint, from DMs to ads to posts.

✨The petrol station analogy: if you're already set up to film, don't just grab the short cut and leave. Get the longer version too while the cameras are rolling. One shoot, two assets, no extra effort.

✨Faces build trust faster than logos. Founder and employee content consistently outperforms polished brand posts, because people buy from people first.

✨And the one we'll be thinking about for a while: stop being boring. Have an opinion. Nobody saves a brand playing it safe.

Did you attend Scroll Forward ? We'd love to hear what stood out for you🤍
