Amazon just made Sponsored Brands a one click add on

Amazon just made Sponsored Brands a one click add on

That makes it easier to launch

but it doesn't make the launch smart

The new beta will build a matching campaign for you

That saves time

But it also means sellers who have never touched Sponsored Brands

can now run it without knowing how it works

Think of it like chess

Amazon just gave you a new piece

It only helps if you know how that piece moves

Before you accept the auto built campaign

Check four things

Targets

If your Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Products campaigns

Chase the same keywords

You can end up paying twice to win one customer

Decide which campaign owns which search terms

Then add negatives so they stop competing with each other

Bids

Amazon sets a starting point

Don't take it as final

Watch cost per click in the first two weeks and adjust

Products

Amazon picks which items show to each shopper

Remove low stock

Low margin

Poorly reviewed ASINs before they eat your ad spend

Names

Rename the campaign right away

Messy campaign names lead to messy reports

You can't manage what you can't find

Then judge the campaign fairly

Sponsored Brands is a brand discovery tool

ACoS alone will make it look bad

Track new to brand orders

Branded search growth

TACoS instead

Top of funnel ads never win on last click reports

They were never built to

Don't shift budget because Amazon added a button

Shift budget when your data earns it

Amazon is building one connected ad system

Sellers who still run every campaign

Like an island will pay more and sell less
