Scroll Forward was a conference done right 💭

As someone who works in both socials and events, there was a LOT to take in. I was locked in on the amazing line-up of speakers while also appreciating the flawless event execution (and merch).

A few takeaways:

George Sullivan: 90% of your audience isn’t ready to buy yet. So think beyond selling. Social content can have a much wider impact than an immediate conversion.

Ray Saddiq: Social platforms are search engines. Good social SEO means understanding the problems your audience is trying to solve and the language they actually use - keywords alone won’t cut it.

Eleshea Williams: When the goal is to educate and build trust, you’ve got to look beyond obvious metrics like likes: comments can highlight patterns in what people need clarity on and help shape future content, while saves and shares can signal that content is genuinely helping to inform (loved hearing a charity sector perspective!).

Chloe Perkins 💘: An honest conversation about mental health and navigating your career, paired with a perfectly executed meme-filled slide deck. A great reminder to choose your following feed over getting lost in the For You page.

Safe to say I left with plenty to take into my own work and routine.

Everybody Hates Marketing was a pretty good reminder of why I love it so much 💗
