Yesterday, we put the 3 in Code3 π by taking home THREE Meta Agency Awards. It's got me thinking back to 3 years ago...
When I first started talking with Craig Atkinson about joining Code3 (an agency I had never heard of) as a member of the ELT and building out the Growth function, my questions all centered around whether the work itself was 'sellable'. I'd just spent a decade building an agency that I had a tremendous amount of pride in, and I wasn't going to leave just to go try to sell a mediocre GTM or offering. Craig's commentary continuously went back to the people at Code3 (Coders)... he told me the people were the secret sauce. I think he specifically said 'there's a lot of steak here, we just need more sizzle'.
Fast forward 3 years, and we're COOKING. I've seen some of the best work in my career, and what makes me most proud of this awards streak (6 this year!) is that the categories we are winning span our ENTIRE integrated business, including media, commerce and creative. Do you know how hard that is to do?! Most agencies are good at one thing (maybe!) and they band-aid the rest in a pitch.
I spent last night reflecting on the common thread on what sets our people apart:
π¬ Relentless grit, when it comes to trying new strategies and testing. Feastables win for Creative is entirely based on throwing out everything you know about creative, embracing tech and bracing for impact when it comes to finding not only the winners in your creative, but the losers too.
π€ Unmatched partnership with our clients. Our teams connect with clients on a level I've never seen. That trust is built by pushing one another, going the extra mile. Being brutally honest and challenging the status quo.
π€ Simply put, our people give a sh*t. They ask questions, they are fearless when pushing for new tests. They are confidently curious.
Can't wait to keep building for the next 3, and beyond. LFG!
