Women are still pretty outnumbered by men in a lot of the e-commerce rooms I find myself in.

Funny enough, I didn't really realize that when I first came into this industry.

I started working in e-commerce in 2020, at the height of COVID. The industry was BOOMING, but we were all completely separate. There were no shows to attend, meet & greets, lunches, happy hours, any of it.

Just us and our computers. 😅

I went to my first "big" industry show, Prosper, in 2022. I remember looking around and thinking, "Wow... there are a LOT of men here."

And that's when it really hit me that the little bubble I had spent my first couple of years in was pretty special.

My bubble was filled with strong, independent, forward-thinking women. Women I could learn from, make mistakes around, ask questions, speak up, and figure out what kind of leader I wanted to be.

I've been so lucky to have women in this industry who I now consider not only friends, but mentors too. Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful that I got those early years in that bubble to learn and find my voice.

And since that bubble popped, I don't think I've shut up. 😂

All that to say... I simply CANNOT wait for Create & Cultivate this weekend in LA!

I spend so much of my year at e-commerce conferences talking Amazon, Walmart, advertising, marketplaces, etc. This weekend I'm excited to step outside of my normal world a little.

To meet women building businesses in completely different industries. To learn from women whose careers look nothing like mine. To hear different perspectives, make new connections, and hopefully come home with a few new friends too. 🤍

Basically, I'm excited to spend a weekend back in a really big bubble of women in business.

If you'll be at Create & Cultivate this weekend, hit me up! I would LOVE to connect. 👏🏻
