At , I had the opportunity to lead a panel discussion with Ideen Rahvar Beiersdorf , Megan Bullock Conagra Brands), and Kyle Swan Burke, Inc. the rise of the AI-enabled consumer.

I think 3 takeaways stood out:

1️⃣ Most organizations are focused on AI as an internal efficiency tool, but fewer are focused on how AI is reshaping the consumer decision journey. AI is changing how people discover, evaluate, and choose brands, creating new opportunities and risks for marketers.

2️⃣ Marketing to the AI-enabled consumer requires understanding both human and AI audiences. While consumers still make the final decisions, AI increasingly influences which brands are considered. Winning brands will understand where the needs of human and AI audiences align and where they differ.

3️⃣ Consumers don't start every AI interaction by asking for a product recommendation. Conversations are modular and fluid. AI can act as an educator, interpreter, evaluator, and recommender, often within the same conversation. Brands need to understand these different modes and where they have the greatest opportunity to influence outcomes.

The companies that adapt fastest won't just use AI to improve operations. They'll rethink how consumers discover and engage with brands in an AI-mediated world.

If you're curious about how AI may already be influencing your brand's reach, visibility, and consideration, I'd love to compare notes.
