Still catching up from CoCreate in LA last week. A few photos, and a few things I took away.
i was asked to speak on agentic harnesses, which is a clunky name for something that matters more than people realize. The actual AI model is not the hard part. The structure AROUND the model is. Same engine block, different car. A base model behind a chat window gives you an answer that sounds plausible. The same model inside a real agentic system, with tools and a defined process, is in a different league.
One reason I was there at the event: Alibaba launched a mew type of AI agent, and asked a group of us to each build an agent out of something we do best, some "secret sauce" weve developed in the industry. (Good company to be in!)
My agent is called Brand Message Fit. It reads an Amazon listing, works out who the copy is actually written for, and checks that against who is actually buying.
The part I did not expect was how much I enjoyed the build itself. Sitting with their engineering team and taking my own process apart, piece by piece, until it was something a system could run without me.
