💥 Amazon Ads announced a partnership with OpenAI that will allow advertisers to access ChatGPT ad inventory through Amazon DSP.
What did they announce:
✅ It’s starting as a pilot with select advertisers in the U.S. Delta Vacations is one of the first brands testing the integration.
✅ ChatGPT Ads inventory will be available through Amazon DSP as a managed service, with Amazon helping advertisers set up and optimize campaigns.
✅ Advertisers can buy inventory on a CPC or CPM basis.
✅ Amazon is also offering product feed ads, which can automatically generate ad assets using an advertiser’s product catalog.
✅ The ads can appear as text or image units below ChatGPT's organic responses and are clearly labeled as sponsored.
✅ OpenAI still controls ad delivery. Amazon advertisers aren't paying to influence what ChatGPT says or which products it recommends.
What does this mean for the overall relationship with OpenAI and Amazon?
👉 Amazon still has not opened their doors to ChatGPT to crawl their PDPs
👉 Amazon is making itself even more valuable for brands
Never a dull moment for AI in commerce!
