Amazon is one of the most technologically capable companies on Earth.
That sounds dramatic until you look at what they've built.
- 1 million+ robots operating across 300+ facilities.
- An AI model coordinating that fleet and cutting robot travel time by 10%.
- Vulcan, a robot that can literally feel what it touches.
- More than 13 billion items delivered to Prime members same or next day in 2025.
- 30-minute delivery operating in dozens of U.S. cities.
- 375+ satellites in orbit.
- Their own AI chips, with nearly half a million Trainium2 chips inside Project Rainier.
- LLMs, machine learning and deep graph neural networks policing review abuse. Amazon says it proactively blocked more than 200 million suspected fake reviews in 2022.
Satellites. Custom silicon. Physical AI. One million robots.
Remarkably capable.
Meanwhile, our systems are still surfacing product reviews from 2016 with "F**k this guy" and "a**hole" sitting in plain English.
I reported this one through Amazon's own Report button weeks ago.
Still live.
No sophisticated fraud ring to unravel. No behavioral graph to build. No judgment call hiding in the language.
Amazon can coordinate a million robots, run hundreds of satellites, build its own AI chips, and teach a robot to feel.
Meanwhile, our systems picked up a 10-year-old review sitting there in plain sight that theirs somehow missed.
Make that make sense.
